Vittorio Arrigoni should have understood what he was getting himself into. When he essentially became a spokesperson for Hamas in Italian, he condoned the firing of missiles into civilian areas in Israel, the killing of Christians for selling Bibles, and various other Hamas activities.
Vittorio Arrigoni with Ismail Haniyeh, Hamas Prime Minister
Given his support for Hamas and coziness with the leaders of Hamas, displayed above, we’d imagine he was most surprised that the people he loved and dedicated his life to turned around and sliced off his head. Let’s hope “peace activists” like Vittorio Arrigoni smarten up and realize that aligning themselves with radical Islamists will not bring peace or stability to the region.
Why was Jesus rejected by the religious leaders of his day?
Who was responsible for his death?
Did he establish a Church to carry on his work?
How did Jesus view his suffering and death?
How should we?
And, most importantly, did Jesus really rise from the dead and what does his resurrection mean?
One of the significant arguments made by the Pope is that the Jews, as a collective, were not responsible for his death, a significant break from historical Christian thought. This book should be a very interesting read for Christians of every denomination. To preorder Jesus of Nazareth: Holy Week: From the Entrance Into Jerusalem To The Resurrection, click on this link.
